I joined Sahyadri School in Class 4 and have been deeply involved in the vibrant community ever since. I am an active participant in volleyball and badminton, and have consistently engaged in diverse school activities across all grade levels.

Throughout my time here, I have been part of several enriching clubs—the Astro Club in Grade 4, where I explored astronomy and space science, and the Phoenix Club in Grade 5, a wonderful platform for sharing and discovering books. In Grade 10, I completed an IIT Madras School Connect course on Economics, Finance, and Money Matters, which deepened my understanding of financial literacy.

I have actively participated in major school festivals and projects. For the Grade 7 State Fest, I researched and displayed exhibits on Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, and performed Bhangra dance as part of the celebration. The Mughal Fest allowed me to research and present on Mughal Weapons and Armory, and I modeled traditional clothing in a school assembly. I also helped organize a Mughal-themed dinner integrating our History curriculum with experiential learning.

In Grade 8, my group designed a hydraulic crane model for the Science Fest. I have participated in the American Mathematical Competition (AMC-8) and contributed to English productions, including a Human Rights play and a Grade 10 performance of ‘O’Captain, My Captain’—a remake of Dead Poets Society. In Grade 10, I performed a monologue as Duryodhan from the Mahabharata in Hindi.

As a Grade 9 Physical Education student, I assisted in organizing the Sports Fest and hosted the Class 10 and 12 farewell alongside my peers. I gave assemblies providing information on Cross Country and various sports events. Currently in Grade 11, I serve on the school student council’s Sports Committee and am actively involved in a General Studies project exploring the interconnections between Law, Criminality, and Politics.

Beyond academics, I have participated in the Activity Block (cooking and campus beautification), visited nearby village schools for Education for Sustainable Development initiatives, and learned about sustainable farming practices on our school farm. I am also pursuing Tabla as part of my performing arts education.

I am grateful for Sahyadri’s holistic approach to education and the countless opportunities to grow both inside and outside the classroom. The Geet Gunjan Morning assemblies, folk dance, and the abundance of extra-curricular activities have shaped my experience here in ways that extend far beyond the traditional curriculum.
