Reyansh Gambhir
Student (Class 11)
I joined Sahyadri School in 6th.
During my time here, I’ve taken part in numerous events. Most notably, I regularly perform as a percussionist and tabla player in our musical mornings, known as Geet Gunjan, where I’ve realized just how pivotal rhythm is to these sessions. Inspired by this, I started the Tabla Club, where I teach my peers to look beyond just playing along to songs. Because I highly value mental and physical well-being, I also participated in and facilitated the Fitness Club. While I explored other interests like the chess and weaving clubs, they unfortunately faded out due to low participation from others.
Additionally, I’ve been involved in several plays, including We the People, which highlighted everyday social issues, a production about the life of the legendary singer Tansen, and our most recent re-enactment of Dead Poets Society.
I decided to join Sahyadri because of a strong connection I’ve always felt to the school. Most of my first cousins studied here, and hearing their amazing feedback and fond memories is what truly inspired me to come. Since arriving, my life here has changed in the best ways possible. Sahyadri has also taught me to really value physical fitness and get involved in extracurricular activities.
