I joined Sahyadri School in 7th Grade.

Events: I was the Head of the farewell gifts committee in 2025-26. I also participated in Sailing Assembly with Kaeya and Swiftonomics Assembly with Anaya Arora. Additionally, I helped organize Art and Lit Fest 2025. I joined the Phoenix Club in 9th Grade and have been running it with Naina since the beginning of 11th grade. Furthermore, I am a core member and editor of the Newsletter committee, a member of the Ninad Editing Team in 2025-26, and a part of the Land-care committee. I have also been involved in student council and dorm visits. Moreover, I participated in the ESD programme for about three years. I am currently working on joining some new clubs and helping with another club. Lastly, I am helping to organize the school’s first alumni meet.

I joined Sahyadri because I wanted an education that was different from the conventional path. The school’s emphasis on independent thinking, community living, and learning beyond the classroom appealed to me.

Life at Sahyadri has been complicated. I have not always found it easy to fit in, and there were many aspects of residential life that challenged me. At the same time, I have never felt entirely at home elsewhere either. In many ways, being at Sahyadri forced me to confront that feeling and learn how to navigate it.

Despite the difficulties, Sahyadri has played a major role in shaping who I am today. It encouraged me to think for myself, pursue my interests seriously, and develop a sense of independence. Many of the projects, ideas, and interests that are important to me now grew out of my time here. My experience at Sahyadri has not been defined by comfort, but by growth. The school challenged me intellectually and personally, and those challenges have had a lasting influence on how I see the world and my place in it.
